I've been doing this manually for the past 2 years!I just ran a few tests and it works pretty well except for a few issues.Photo using your actions only. Photo is your actions and touching up in lightroom. Photo is my old way with touchups in lightroom and Photo is your actions minus the second curves and it has lightroom adjustments. With b&w, Photo is your actions no adjustment Photo is minus the second curves with lightroom adjustments. The second curves seems to be over sharpening for me adding noise and too much contrast.
That being said, this will save me loads of time. Thanks! Will this work with tungsten balance film?Edit; I scan RAW with a DSLR into Lightroom. Yeah, the second curves adds a smidge of contrast (no sharpening though) and I find it also cuts out color casts 95% of the time after you do the first curves adjustment. Of course it's personal preference. On my calibrated monitor I actually prefer your option 1 which happens to be my actions:P Now I am not sure if I am just biased having been primed with the knowledge before hand.It should work fine with tungsten film but I have not tried. I got a couple exposed rolls in the freezer to develop, so I guess I will find out. Also, I find B&W actually works better without the second curves adjustment because clipped whites are more noticeable on B&W than color. I actually made a duplicate action for myself and removed the second curves step specifically for B&W.
